I had been suffering with extreme tooth pain for over a year! Every time I was eating, pain radiated from my bottom molar. Dr Johnston very kindly offered to see what was going on. X-rays were taken, and this was a first for me (at 73, I have been to a few dentists!)… he pulled up the x-rays and explained the correlation between my previous dental work and what was occurring now – very impressed with the ‘lay’ language. No other dentist had ever explained why I was still experiencing pain after having root canal procedures! Dr Johnston checked all the sources that might explain the ongoing pain, and, of course, this day he did everything to replicate the pain I was experiencing, to no avail… Being the compassionate and caring man that he is, he didn’t back down from the challenge and continued on! At dinner that night and going forward, I can honestly say the pain is about 95% gone! I will have a follow-up when the office is operating again (hopefully by July)! I am eternally grateful to Dr Johnston for ‘coming to the rescue’ and look forward to my follow-up appointment. I would highly recommend Dr Johnston for your dental needs. He greets you with a smile and instantly puts you at ease… which I appreciate, as I am a ‘kleenex shredder’ when I have a dental appointment! (No kleenex shredding on this visit).

I used to go to Rod Johnston’s office as a 6 year old while I lived in Corbeil, very often our school next door to his office would arrange drives for the children who had appointments. I moved away from North Bay in 96 and at 34 yrs of age, I’m hardly the small child I was then but I have always remembered Rod and his team very fondly. They always made sure you were comfortable, after our appointments Rod would let us choose a toy from a small treasure chest and always did things right with a smile. I never had any pain or complications. I have honestly not had a better dentist since and in many cases met my share of bad ones but Rod always remained the best on my list after all these years. So that says a lot. Hope you’re well Rod. Take care.

I was referred to Dr. Johnson by a local dentist to help give me my smile back. He worked on every tooth and gave me such a wonderful smile! Each tooth is shaped to look like an original tooth, rather than the same shape and size.

He constantly asked how I was doing, if I needed more freezing, and held a mirror up so I could see the progress.

He gave me back my confidence to smile and laugh without having to cover my mouth. My face hurts from smiling, as I am making up for lost time.

I wish I had seen him earlier! If you are thinking of fixing your teeth to give you back your smile and confidence, please call Dr. Johnston! The only regret you will have is that you did not do it sooner.

I had a fall which resulted in several broken front teeth. I travelled to North Bay for an appointment. I’m normally a very nervous patient so Dr. Johnston used laughing gas and I actually fell asleep during the treatment. He redid my smile with 2 crowns and 4 porcelain veneers in one appointment with his amazing technology. I developed so much trust with the staff that I came back for 5 implants and then crowns 4 months later. My smile has never looked so good! It has been several years that I have not seen doctor Johnston. My wife informed me that she was switching from our current dentist to doctor Johnston again. As I was having a cleaning at Dr. J’s office, I was asked if I was happy with my smile. I was not as I had gaps and gum loss and was quite discouraged about my smile. Well I had a mock-up done of the upper teeth and was extremely impressed. So I had the top few teeth done. Wow what a difference. Such a difference that my wife insisted I have the lower teeth done also. While waiting for the next appointment, I had a small accident while playing with the grandchildren and broke a tooth next to one just made over. I was devastated and was worried that I would need an extraction because of the condition of the tooth. Well on April 23rd, not only were the bottom teeth made over but the broken tooth was also repaired. Simply amazing. Thank you Dr. Johnston and your wonderful staff.
